We plan to have two Masses in each of our churches on Christmas Eve; at 6.00 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. and have one Mass in each Church on Christmas Day and on Sunday 26 Dec.: 10.00 in Killeen and 11.30 in Louisburgh.
These will adhere strictly with current public health guidelines, especially with regard to the two-metre distancing requirement and the correct wearing of facemasks.
Both churches will close immediately after the 6.00 p.m. Mass to allow for sanitising.
In order to maximise the number who can be safely admitted to each Mass it is requested that people should attend as a family group, or for those who live alone in a group “bubble” of friends that they socialise with and whose homes they visit. Each group should consist of no more than seven or eight people who can comfortably be accommodated in one church seat per group.
In this way each seat will be filled and there will be the required two metre distance between it and the next group.
If the church reaches capacity and the stewards advise that the church is full and no more can be admitted, they are doing so to ensure we are taking all steps possible not to endanger the health and lives of parishioners. Please, be understanding.
It is also requested that a person not attend more than one of the Masses on Christmas Eve and Day.
Masses will be streamed live on our webcams.
