Reflection

Máirtín Ó Direáin composed this poem at Christmas 1942 when the world was torn apart by world war and there were millions upon millions of people displaced from their homes and seeking shelter.
Sadly, today many doors are still being shut in the faces of those seeking shelter from war by the same human hate and pride. Are we willing to extend the invitation to our island that Máirtín Ó Direáin did to his island of Inis Mór in 1942?
